FULL TIME: PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Role and Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator role is composed of two essential functions: the daily management and operations of the office and library and coordination support of the Foundation’s wide range of project-based activities S/he will manage the administrative workflow and supervise junior staff to ensure a productive and positive office environment. S/he will manage special projects and coordinate logistics in support of the artist residency in Bataan and public programs in Bataan and Metro Manila. 

Administrative responsibilities
·       Supports the Artistic Director with schedule management, travel coordination, and curatorial research.

·       Supports Deputy Director with public programming and other events including but not limited to: equipment set up, vendor oculars, etc. 

·       Works with Secretary to keep track of office, residency and special project budgets and expenses, monitors payables and receivables, and utility bills including phone, internet, rent, and water. 

·       Supports Residency Manager with BAP residents’ and guests’ schedules and travel accommodations. 

·       Manages the efficiency and productivity flow of the office. Supervises schedules and assign tasks to junior staff, interns and volunteers.  Manages (booking, updating and reminders) of BAP’s schedule through Google 

      Calendar.

·       Responsible for daily maintenance of office and organization of the Foundation’s archive. 

·       Organizes the library and registers book donations. 

Project Coordinator responsibilities
·       Assists Deputy Director with coordination and implementation of ESKWELA educational program

·       Contributes to the development of the Foundation’s program content. Researches and identifies trends in the local art scene. Develops and implements outreach plan to attract new audiences. Conceives and executes 

      educational program to promote BAP Art Library

·       Coordinates exhibitions and special events. Prepares the master production and installation schedule and work plan. 

·       Researches and establishes community partnerships in Bataan and Metro Manila such as schools and NGOs. 

·       Writes original content for website and social media related to special projects and public programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree. Fine arts diploma a plus. Minimum two-years work experience in arts management. Proficient in English and Tagalog.

Preferred Skills
·       Knowledgeable in art history, with emphasis in contemporary art. Curatorial practice and writing background a plus. 

·       Previous experience working with artists, production and exhibition installation. 

·       Interest in art education

·       Proficient in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Video editing and website/html proficiency a plus.

·       Work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to think creatively and problem solve efficiently with limited resources and make practical decisions.

·       Team player participation is essential. Reliable and punctual. 

 

internship: Role and Responsibilities

Bellas Artes Projects aims to offer structured work-based learning opportunities to support career development and to enable people from all backgrounds to experience the inner workings of a gallery. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until each internship position is filled.

Interns will attain real world knowledge of working with the local and international contemporary art community. Most interns are based in one department, but have the opportunity to interact with all departments on a regular basis. They must have the ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team and act autonomously as appropriate.

Interns will assist in event planning, community outreach, and administrative maintenance. Their role comprises of creating content for online platforms and archiving projects.  Interns must attend events on-site and off-site and will handle crowd control, documentation of events and technical support to ensure flow of program is seamless.

Fine arts degree preferred. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote.  Interest in visual arts is a must. Basic knowledge of graphic design programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Must be motivated, organized, and possess good communication skills. Must possess a strong command of English, verbally and written. Ability to function in a creative and flexible working environment, with overtime and varying shifts.
